    This is an absolutely incredible Fossilized Whelk! This huge fossil shell is a whopping 1 foot in length and weighs 3 pounds (WOW!). This whelk is scientifically known as
    Sinisteofulgur holeylandicum
    and belongs to the Busyconidae family. It displays gorgeous formation and natural color. Shell was scientifically discovered by Herbert Waldron - copy of his hand-written data entry comes with purchase of this fossil (how cool!). Specimen is in pristine condition. Hand-collected from Loxahatchee, Florida on June 24, 2001.
