    Description

    This beautiful dress is too damaged by age to wear but it is too beautiful and amazing to discard.  I offer it for study or for display purposes.
    It's an all silk dress in tiny check gingham
    Amazing details on the collar and lace inset front, even the skirt has interesting seaming
    I got it in an estate clear out, when I got it there was a card pinned to it stating that it was made for "joyce of all silk in 1910".  I lost the card, thinking the dress was just too far gone.  But I could not bring myself to throw it out.
    I am hoping someone could use it in a tableau display or perhaps would like to make a pattern from it.
    There are major fabric weaknesses and small holes throughout.  Significant tears at one shoulder and at the opening in the front.
    The lace is in good shape and the snaps and closures are too.
