This fossil VASE CONCH shell is from
from the Pliocene period, part of the Tamiami Formation.
It was collected at the
bottom of the SMR Aggregate Pit, Sarasota
, Fl.   It is now closed to the general public like most fossil shell pits in Florida.
You get the exact specimen shown in the photos above.  The large VASE CONCH SHELL,
