    Giant Fossil MITER Shell

    This large fossil Miter shell is from from the Pliocene period, part of the Pinecrest Formation.   It was collected at the bottom of the SMR Aggregate Pit, Sarasota, Fl.   It is now closed to the general public like most fossil shell pits in Florida.
    You get the exact specimen shown in the photos above.  The Miter SHELL
